Coupons and Freebies

When I have a few spare minutes, I like to surf the web for coupons and freebies. Here are a couple of the best sites I’ve found:

General Deal Sites

Hey It’s Free – This is probably my favorite freebie site. In addition to listing great freebies that have very few strings attached, the moderator has a great sense of humor making the blog fun to read. He also lets you know when an offer has expired or when a company has run out of their freebies so that you don’t waste time on worthless offers. Over the past year, I have gotten a free subscription to US News & World Report and about 25 free product samples from this site. Definitely worth a few minutes each week, in my opinion.

The Free Site– This site has a less user-friendly appearance and occasionally, the freebies require you to jump through too many hoops. But, in general, this is another great site for free samples, free subscriptions, etc.

Retail Me Not – Another invaluable site. You should never buy anything online without looking for possible coupon codes on RetailMeNot. While some companies ban coupon codes from being posted publicly, you can find coupons for most retailers listed here. I’ve had great success finding codes for Expedia, ebay, and Babies R Us, among others.

Swap – If you have things that you want to get rid of, you can trade them for things you need on Swap.com. This sounds like a great alternative to having a yard sale!

Baby Deal Sites

BabyCheapskate.com – This site lists daily deals and steals. They also have a coupon-trading marketplace. Definitely worth a look!

Babyhalfoff.com – Everyday this site offers one featured item at 50% off the regular cost. Many of the items are very cute!

Mamabargains.com – This site sells one item (at a steep discount) at a time. When the item is sold out, the site features a new item.

Babysteals.com– Same idea as Mamabargains. You may want to bookmark both.

Greenbabybargains.com – This site also features one item at a time, but it promises that the item is organic, earth-friendly, or generally “green.” It seems to be a little pricier than the others, but I imagine that’s because green items tend to cost more.

Let me know of other good coupon and freebie sites!
